This multi-purpose mailbox lock is constructed of die-cast and comes with a nickel-plated face. A security feature of this lock prevents the key from being removed when in the unlocked position. This feature prevents forgetting the key in the lock, while at the same time ensuring the mailbox is locked every time. It includes a total of five zinc-plated steel cams, brass pins, a spring steel locking clip and two keys. To unlock this mailbox lock, the key must rotate 90 deg in a counter-clockwise direction. This mailbox lock replaces many original manufacturer's locks, like those manufactured by American Device, Florence, Miami-Carey, Bommer and Augh Electric.
